Open day of Play @ Patterson Creek Paintball - June 10th

S.T.A.R.R. Airsoft will be hosting another Open day of Play at Patterson Creek Paintball in Burlington, WV on June 10, 2012. Admission is $10 per person, Games start @10am and will run until about 5-6pm.

FPS Regulations:
400FPS max for AEGs and Pistols min. Engagement Distance of 25ft

500FPS max for Snipers/Semi Only DMRs min. Engagement Distance of 50ft

Field Information:

-Approximately 40+ acres of Playing area*. (Almost double that for mil-sim and scenario games)
-A mix of wooded, high grass,and open field, trenches, pallet towns, creeks, and hilly terrain.
-located off of County Route 11/ Patterson Creek Road
-Road leading up to the parking area is paved
-Parking area is a clean cut grass area easy on vehicles
-there are fully functional rest rooms/changing rooms
-There will also be electrical outlets available for you to charge your batteries during breaks or lunch time if needed.

*Airsoft playing area is larger than what is used for their Woodsball Paintball.

Field Rules are as follows:
-Eye Protection must be worn at All Times while in the playing area.
-Anyone 16 or under Must wear a Full Face Mask
-Mags out and safeties on unless in the playing area. (no mags in guns in the parking area)

Looking forward to another good time, we are planning on having another date, possibly a Scenario game on July the 1st and a big mil-sim game sometime in Mid August.

Seems like 400fps might be limiting the amount of people that could attend. Most fields around here are 425fps and a lot of guys have their guns tuned around that. Is the 400fps an insurance thing?

It wasnt so much an insurance thing as it was a preference by the field owner. You as well as a few others have let me know about this issue and we talked with the owner and have gotten it changed. The new FPS rules are

AEG's 450fps with .25g bbs

Snipers 550fps with .25g bbs but because of this the min engagement distance has been extended to 75ft.

I should note we are also planning on having another Open day on July 1st and we are working on plans and details on hosting our first Mil-Sim game at the field, and it will be a charity event for The Wounded Warrior Project.
