When i was at the game my hop up started out working fine but after a while it came loose and i had to turn it back up, I actually had to duct tape it into place. It was just recently fixed and i would like to know what this is so i can fix it myself. And on a side note i am gonna open my gun up and want to upgrade the spring, could it handle a 120, it already has a upgraded piston and piston head. Any tips on how to work on a gearbox would also be helpful.

That is kind of an important detail isn't it, its an Echo 1, with the metal bushings.
your hop up might have a small screw that helps hold the dial in place, that could be loose. take some time and just look the whole unit over and see if anything seems to need tightening. as for advice on tackling gearboxes, be patient make sure to stay organized and remember where everything goes. you should be ok using a 120 in it
Just a tip. If you do plan on opening up your gearbox, there are a boat load of videos avaliable. Make sure you watch them over and over. Also make sure you have the right tools. You can get almost everything you need cheap at wal mart, or harbor freight if there is one near by. The right tools make it so much easier. Also make sure you are in a well lit area and on a table that is clean. I actually use a box lid under the box to keep anything from falling on the floor. Just remember that thing is under compression, and may "explode" all over the place if you do not remove the spring properly. Just do your research. There's alot of good info out there. Stick with the professional sites though. Espically with videos. Airsoft gi has a decent video series located in their interior upgrades section of the store. Good luck, and if you have questions, don't hesitate to ask.
