To answer your question, yes, I believe it does. It has a much larger tapered opening. And having your left hand already in the position to access the mag, it saves a small amount of time in positioning. I think it's an invaluable attachment, especially for the low cost.

Awesome, thanks! I'll probably look into getting one later on once I get all of the essentials out of the way as sort of a final touch to the weapon. I'm turning my Javelin CQB-R into an M416 style weapon with a mix of Noveske, and Magpul furniture. But actually I wanted to ask about your thoughts on this; a major concept of my combat style is speed reloading and quick mag changes, but from your experiences would you say that the Mako assists mag changes at all? Just wondering. Thanks!
