Overall gun shortened by over 4 inches now. Recessed crown finished, over barrel shroud (as some call a mock silencer), internals balanced and tuned for .3g bb's and internal stock filled to make solid as well quiet. Now to finish the stock exterior which is horrid.

I've been doing it for years. (Real gunsmithing) As for what to use, it really depends on the result you want. On this particular rifle it will be the textured truck liner spray from wallymart.

I'll most likely bondo the checkering out and sand it smooth, adjust a few things here and there. More than likely remove the current sling attachment points and replace them with quick detach studs later on.

I heard some people doing the rubberized texture thing to their guns. What do you use for that? Rubberized undercoat spray? Or a dip of sorts? I'm curious because I wanna do my m14 stock in that.

It started as a m324 UTG I received in a trade. The final color will be all black 2 tone. the stock is getting a complete hard rubberized texture done to it. I can't paint for a few days as the weather isn't right and it takes around a week to cure. I'll have new pics up then.

What was the base gun? And I think it looks rather slick at the moment. Not so much the color, but the overall look if clean and efficient.
