Gentlemen, For your reading pleasure...
Although little recorded history exists on the matter, legend speaks of a particularly powerful and influential group that lived in solitude in the remote regions of the Middle East. Known only as “Fraternitas” (The Brotherhood), this group was said to be in possession of an otherworldly artifact capable of giving it's wielder unnatural abilities.
The story of the Brotherhood begins with a man by the name of Cicero Messalla di Toscana - born in the year 378 AD to Tuscan parents. With the Roman economy in decline and its influence in Western Europe diminishing, small farming families such as the Messalla’s would be forced to leave rural Tuscany in favor of the city of Rome. After the premature death of his parents, Cicero would enlist in the Roman military and quickly rise through the ranks to be promoted to Centurion rank. By the year 405, Italy was in danger of being overrun by barbarians from the North. Cicero and his unit would be stationed along the Rhine River, desperately attempting to hold back the Germanic tribes of Alaric I. If the Barbarians are able to cross into Italy, they would surely lay siege to Rome.
Many Legions of the Roman army were being withdrawn from the north in order to prepare for the defense of Italy. Cicero's unit was left to guard an important castle along the Rhine. When Alaric's armies arrived, the Romans were heavily outnumbered and ill prepared for such an attack. The Centurion and his men fought valiantly but we eventually crushed by the fierce opposition. The Romans fell one by one until only Cicero himself remained. His back to cliff and a hundred barbarians to his front, Cicero knew he would surely be killed, or worse. Rather than become a prisoner of war, the Centurion thrust his sword into another foe and threw himself into the Rhine
Cicero should have died that day.
A bright light then filled him, but not the light of the afterlife. He slowly cracked his eyes open and saw the sea. Gulls soared overhead and a bright glare caught his eye. A metal object stuck in the sand just out of reach. It took all of Cicero's strength just to crawl, but the closer he got to the glare, the stronger he felt. It was a large dagger planted into the ground. When Cicero first held it, it is unknown for certain what he saw, but he felt strong. Godly strong. His mission was clear. He stripped himself of his broken armor and traveled East into the heart of Germania.
He used this new found power to carve a path straight into the heart of Germania. It was as if nothing could touch him. Hundreds of Barbarians would be slaughtered in his path, all without Cicero sustaining a single injury. One particular Barbarian camp would be prison of several Roman soldiers. Upon witnessing the incredible power of Cicero, the soldiers worshiped him as a God and followed his cause. Many years passed and Cicero without a doubt got his revenge. However, unknown even to the all powerful Cicero, the dagger's power comes at a price, and the former Centurion's health would go into a painful decline. At the mere age of 46, Cicero’s vision would fail and his body would become feeble. There was certainly a very powerful, yet evil energy surrounding the artifact. It was decided that the dagger was not fit for human hands. The artifact, however, could not be destroyed by conventional means.
Cicero and his followers travelled East, far from the civilized world of the Roman empire and into what is now northern Afghanistan. Deep within the Hindu Kush mountains, the corrupt band found solace in the fact that the dagger was out of the reach of mankind. Cicero named his new settlement Al-Khali, the dagger speaking to him in languages not yet used by men. On his death bed, Cicero would task his followers with safeguarding the dagger. He warned them to never harness its power and that it could never fall into any other hands but theirs.
Generation after generation, they obeyed their master's dying wish for over a thousand years.

OPERATION ORDER – OP: SACRED ICONSEPTEMBER 18, 2011 – SOG FIELD, USA
I. SITUATION:
The Battle of Al-Khali
When the Soviets occupied Afghanistan in the early 1980's it is said that elite Soviet units were sent across borders into Iran and Pakistan to ensure the destruction of hidden Mujahideen bases. It is rumored that other elite KGB units were sent to sweep the Hindu Kush Mountains for likely locations of Al-Khali.
The year is 1986 and the Soviets are desperate. The Chernobyl incident caused a great deal of embarrassment for the USSR. They seek the the power of the artifact now more than ever in hopes that it could turn the tide in the Cold War.
CIA informants soon reveal what the Soviets are up to. In order to keep a low profile, CIA Special Activities Division agents are sent to eliminate the KGB teams and find the Al-Khali first.

July 1986, Al-Khali
The search for the artifact has become complicated. Al-Khali has been found and is occupied by an indigenous population. They claim they have the artifact, but refuse to budge on it's exact location.
The Denizens seem to have been defending Al-Khali for generations. Their expertise in guerrilla warfare is unmatched, and their knowledge of the terrain is deadly. Their numbers however, are dwindling. Lack of adequate supplies and the encroachment of the modern world have greatly diminished the fortitude they once had. They will not risk getting involved in an open ground war.
With Al-Khali under siege by both the KGB and CIA, the Denizens have no easy way to get the supplies they need. They are forced to accept the gifts of both factions in order to get basic provisions. Both US and Soviet forces have been airdropping various care packages into Al-Khali for weeks. Crosswinds and turbulence from the surrounding mountains makes it difficult to make precise drops and care packages are often scattered in random locations. You will organize squads to patrol the area in search of missed drops. When you find them, give them to the Denizens as a sign of good faith. Move cautiously, both factions share the same goals.

Operational Commander is Sgt. Chris “Wolf” Mitchell.
Denizen chain of command as designated on site.
Team chain of command is up to the discretion of the players.
III. MISSION:
Operation Sacred Icon is designed to be an immersive, tactical, and open ended exercise. Your team’s objective is to gain control of an ancient artifact hidden deep within a secluded region of the Hindu Kush Mountains known as Al-Khali. The artifact is in the possession of the local population known as the Denizens. Gaining their trust will prove vital in capturing the artifact.
IV. EXECUTION:
A. CONCEPT
Operation Sacred Icon will be very fluid in its execution and will contain many features not found in previous SOG operations. SOG players will form a neutral third team that will act as game staff, referees, and role players. They will only engage in combat during special missions.
This game will have a focus on planning, teamwork, and careful timing. You will be forced to out think the opposing team as well as interact carefully with the Denizens.
Shooting the Denizens will result in a loss of points. The only exceptions occur during FRAGOS and the Final Mission.
B. TRUST
You will gain “Reputation” points by finding supplies and trading them in at one of the Denizen camps. This can be done at any time and will cause exploration to be a major part of gameplay.
The command tents will be the primary Denizen camp. The northern village will be the secondary camp. The POW camp will be used as needed. Any camp occupied by the Denizens is a safe zone and a rest zone for any player (goggles on!). Denizen guards will ensure their camps are not used to ambush other players.
C. FRAGO
FRAGO missions will be available at any Denizen camp in exchange for 1000 points. If the contracted team successfully completes a FRAGO mission, they will receive 2500 points.
If the non contracted team manages to intercept and steal the FRAGO objective, neither team will receive points.
D. FINAL MISSION
The Denizens are attempting to flee with the artifact.
At 1600 both teams will be called to the tent and receive points for any objectives they are holding. Each player will be allowed 4 Hit Cards for this mission. If you are killed or your Hit Cards are used up, you will spectate from a safe location.
Each team will then be taken to either the North or South river crossing. The Denizens will defend China Beach, lightly armed. A Denizen will be carrying the artifact and it will not change hands. When he is hit he will not move. The team who gets the Sacred Icon to the tent will receive 2500 points.

V. MEDIC RULES:
Each player will be issued 3 Hit Cards. When you are hit, pull out your red rag, open a Hit Card, and follow instructions. If you are killed or run out of Hit Cards, keep your red rag on your head, and find the nearest Denizen. You may either follow your squad as a dead man or proceed to a Denizen camp. There you will receive 3 new Hit Cards and are free to rejoin your squad.
Any objectives you are carrying when killed can still be carried to Denizen camps.
VI. LUNCH:
Lunch will take place at the Command Tents from 1230 to 1400. During this window of time, Denizens will be pulled from other duties and set up a security perimeter around the Tents. Players may rest and take their goggles off inside the camp during this time. There will be no PAUSEX for lunch. It would be ideal to establish a lunch rotation for your squads or to bring your own lunch to eat in the field. The game can still be won or lost during this time frame, plan your missions accordingly.
VII. OBJECTIVES:
Each individual prop is worth a set number of points. Most props are small and easy to carry.
MRE Components – 50
Medicine – 100
Medical Kits – 200
Clothing Bags – 200
Fuel Cans – 500
Food Bags – 500

It's easier to understand it on their website. I just cut and pasted their post, and it didn't turn out the best.
But all you need to know, is kill, kill, kill.
Oh, and on a side note.... I changed the shitsteen up a bit. Put an S-System upper on it. ;)
