Event Background
It has been over 2 years since Cobra Commander had stolen the formula for Transmetal from the Joe’s base. The last time these to forces met the Joe’s weren’t able to prevent Cobra Commander from gaining and even hand on gathering the elements for Transmetal.
But now Cobra Commander has discovered the location of the final element. Located in a small rural area of WV, into this area he has taken his forces to retrieve this element and gain the upper hand over the Joe’s and the rest of the world. Here he has taken control of the residents of this small community with his nano-technology and created a slave force to fight and recover the missing element, before the Joe’s can stop him. With his nano-vipers dug in throughout the area and guarding his base he has set up in the little town. Cobra Commander is ready for anything that the Joe’s or the world can throw at him.

General Hawk seeing that this is the time to crush Cobra Commander once and for all is leading the Joe’s on this mission. But with the Joe’s forces stretched throughout the world battling Cobra Commander Forces else were General Hawk has asked for assistance from the Red Oktober Guard. They have agreed to send a unit to help in destroying Cobra but also they are interested in getting their hand on the formula for Transmetal.

The STARR Airsoft group is very proud to host Operation Transmetal II , a fund raiser to benefit Wounded Warrior Project. In conjuction with Garrett County Airsofters, who is sponsoring this event and providing their field to play. Major industry sponsors have gotten behind this event to make it worth the trip a little more. Special prizes and chances to win some really great items. First 50 Pre-registered will received exclusive WWP items, you can wear them proudly to show your support. First 100 Pre-registered will receive a gift package from Airsplat.com. This will be a great day for a great cause , August 19th, Gates open at 9:00am with games starting at 10:00, Grand Prize drawing at 5:20 pm. Entry fee for this event is $10 ALL GOES DIRECTLY TO BENEFIT THE WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT

Garrett County Airsofters will also be offering a speedball field to play on in between and/or during games. 

Entry fees and donations will be taken at the gate. 

Field Rules and Regulations:

FPS Regulations:
450FPS max for AEGs and Pistols min. Engagement Distance of 25ft

550FPS max for Snipers/Semi Only DMRs min. Engagement Distance of 75ft

Field Information:
-Approximately 25+ acres of Playing area*
-A mix of wooded, brush, high grass, trenches, cat tail field, pallet towns, and a river.
-located 85 Crellin Road, Oakland, MD 
-Road leading up to the parking area is gravel 
-Parking area is a clean cut grass area easy on vehicles
-there are rest rooms available if needed
-There will also be electrical outlets available for you to charge your batteries during breaks or lunch time if needed.
-Food will be available by donation

Field Rules are as follows:
-Eye Protection must be worn at All Times while in the playing area.
-Anyone 18 or under Must wear a Full Face Mask 
-Mags out and safeties on unless in the playing area. (no mags in guns in the parking area)
-Accidents happen but respect engagement distances. Rule of thumb if you think they are too close but far enough stick to semi-only
-If you are within the minimum engagement distance you may offer a surender at which point if you do not follow you can get shot. Please respect fellow players during these moments.
-When you are shot depending on the game type you must raise your hand high or your kill rag and hold it there until you are either picked up by a medic or until it is safe enough for you to travel off the field.
