Old Dominion Gunfighters-Northern VA

The Old Dominion Gunfighters was founded as a way for fellow northern/central virginians to come together, train together, and travel to national events. A lack of a traveling VA milsim team prompted a few people to form a group and expand. We are currently looking for a few more dedicated cadre.

What we offer, is a group to bond, train, and arrive at events, proud to show what they have to exhibit. When you shoot, you know you will hit your target. When you move, you will know your teammates will have your back. When you eat that 1300 calorie MRE, you will know you have teammates waiting for you when you have to "dump" it. (I ain't talkin 'bout in no dump pouches neither) We understand that the game of airsoft is about having fun. We're here to train and have fun in a professional and coordinated environment.

We meet once a month for training/practice, and attend at least one game a month.

Events attending:
-Pine Plains yearly (starting 2013)
-1 Lion Claws op yearly (starting 2013)
-other smaller events as determined by the team

Starting Requirements:

-An honest, positive attitude
-A desire to improve and be a team player
-18+ y/o
-Comfortable fitness (keep up the tempo)
-AEG STANAG compatible rifle
-Funds and the will to acquire required team kit

Kitlist requirements:

-An Honest, positive attitude
-18+ for Lion Claws and Blacksheep games.
-Comfortable fitness. Run fine, crawl fine, hold your weapon fine.
-AR platform rifle/SAW weapons
-6-8 midcaps.
-DCU's and BDU's (for national/regional OP's) Multicam for pick up games
-Plate Carrier, or modern chest rig CB/RG/FG/MJK/MC/OD.
-Sidearm with holster.
-CB/RG/FG FAST, MSA 2001, or Protec Alpha Helmet (cut off ear helmets)
-NOT BLACK- Ankle high boots

In addition to being "That NATO team", for fun hopefully in the future we plan to run generic Opfor-esque loadouts.
