Chesapeake Airsoft Association

Uniting the airsoft community in Maryland, DE, PA, NJ & VA

Want to play a game that resembles real military operations. Look no further, Airsoft is the answer for you!

The Maryland Airsoft Team is currently seeking players that are interested in joining an airsoft team that performs Military Simulations (MilSim). MAT has been active since March of 2008 and has grown over the past year. We are looking to grow and bring on new interested players.

MAT is an active group of people ranging from ages 13 to Mid-50s, with a wide variety of backgrounds, including people with ROTC and Military backgrounds. MAT participates in games every month whether it is a team scrimmage or a game against another team located in the State of Maryland.

The Southern Brigade currently has two fields it uses regularly, one is in Avenue and the other is located in Leonardtown, MD. Look forward to seeing you all out there!

MAT is now recruiting in the following counties: Calvert, Charles, and Saint Mary’s Counties, MD and King George County, VA

If you’d like to learn more about MAT and how we operate please visit our website at MarylandAirsoftTeam.com or you can email the Brigade Commanding Officer, Bradley Varvel at MATSouthernCO@yahoo.com

What can you tell me about the team? Uniform requirements, rank structure and how it works, where the team plays, etc. Thanks.

Sorry for the late reply. The team was founded in March 2008 and has since undergone a reorganization to improve a lot of its inital flaws.

The teams primary camouflage is Marpat and our secondary camouflage is Multicam, at the moment Marpat is required by all members and Multicam is optional but will become required next year.

The Maryland Airsoft Team follows the Army rank structure with the exception of the Eastern Brigade, which follows the Marine Corps rank structure, in order to get promoted from rank to rank you earn points by attending games, posting so much on the forums, having the required camouflage, holding positions, etc, etc. In order to get appointed to a position you need to fill out a Officer Promotion Request form and meet different requirements based on what position it is your applying for.

The Maryland Airsoft Team currently has 4 fields in the following areas, Leonardtown, Deal Island, Upper Marlboro and Faulkner, MD.

Hey bro, I checked out your site and really dig what you guys have to say.  You seem like a fit for me really, I actually live out in alexandria but I got down to SOMD pretty regularly.  I wanted to come and check out a game and see how you guys operate, would I need to bring all the signed paper work and fee to observe?

Like I said I really dig what you guys are about.  Thanks for the help
