Starter gun

I know y'all probably get this A LOT. So, I'm buying all new gear, I've played a few times with buddies using their guns. 

I'm looking at the combo kits at ShortyUSA.

G&G Combat Machine CM16 Raider-L AEG

Comes with a 9.6 nunchuck battery and smart charger for $165

Sounds like a good deal to me.

What I'm wondering is, does G&G have good internals, reliability and performance? Is this worth spending my hard earned money on? Also, if anyone has any suggestions on starter kits/guns, I would like to hear them. Please be as informative as possible because I want to learn as much as I can about airsoft and tech so I can eventually upgrade my own guns and whatnot.

G&Gs are pretty nice and have pretty good internals as well.  The smart charger is a good idea as well so you don't overcharge your guns.  I would suggest coming over to us at East Coast Airsoft rather then shortys tho, were alot closer to you and you can check out all of the other cool stuff we have in stock as well.  Also, anything we might not have we can get in for you if you want.  Another thing you want to think about is extra magazines because in an airsoft battle you normally want to have more then 1 mag.

Do you guys match? If you can match Shorty's deal I will come there. I just seen it there and it looks good so I'm going to hop on it if you can't match it. I am looking at the plate carrier and box set of mags aswell.

Shorty's package deals like that are both out of stock. We only have the gun itself not the kit in route to us tho we might be able to make some sort of kit for you since your a member of CAA and such.

The gun itself normally would sell for like $145 Smart Charger $35 and Battery is like $32 total would be $212 we could give you a package deal for like  $185.  Let me know what you think, we will be happy to help you out with anything you might need along the way and answer any questions you may have!

Idk man, I'm just looking for good performance at a decent price. I just think it's kind of dumb how most guns don't come with the necessities like a battery and charger.

Most other brands like Echo1, JG, Etc. come with batteries and chargers, some of the guns don't because the aftermarket batteries are much better quality then the ones they throw in with the packages, and usually they only include a dummy wall charger and not a smart charger with the kits too.  So the nicer companies like G&G have kits available without that stuff so you can get the good quality stuff, or if you already have it for other guns so you don't have to buy it if you dont want to.
