The Democratic Republic of North Kanzio has been economically trashed due to their forced contributions to the Dezember Alliance-led war against Miran earlier this year. With the coming winter growing longer, and resources becoming scarce, the government of North Kanzio has had to

enact Martial Law throughout their lands.

Under the auspices of the DRNK Government, the Dezember Alliance had several research stations throughout the splinter nation that were working towards an affordable, effective Cold Fusion System. This work was naturally kept classified, with very few knowing of the research.

With insurgent forces on the rise throughout the nation, spurred on by the violent police response to a food protest in the North Kanzian capital the week prior, things were at a boiling point in the climatically cool nation.

The people are restless. The cold is unbearable, and fuel is running out. The Dezember Alliance is racing against the clock to finish their research on Cold Fusion before North Kanzio rips itself apart in civil war.
